PRC-101 Redundancy Switch Controller is a multipurpose redundancy switch controller for Encoder, Modulator, Upconverter, Downconverter, LBN/LNA and HPA in 1:1 redundancy configurations.

PRC-101’s operation is based on detecting the actual status (alarms or faults) from the units alarm interface and switches the problematic unit chain to Stand-by unit.

The controller can operate in automatic mode or manual. In automatic mode, it can work predefined rules, without any user intervention. In manual mode, user can control the switch without any limit.

The controller is a 19” and 1RU unit is equipped a with 2x40 character display, keypad and status and alarms LED on front panel, and Data In/Out ports on rear panel. It is has dual power supply to guarantee very high availability.

The PRC-101 can be managed locally on front panel or remotely via RS232, RS485 or its user friendly web interface (GUI) over Ethernet port.
